Likely & unlikely Satanic scenarios for the last days. How about a fake rapture -- or a true rapture falsely explained?

I have lots of objections to the stuff about HUMAN conspiracy, the Illuminati and the like, but I think there's a lot to recent teachings that concern SATAN's conspiracies, and that includes all sorts of possible dazzling signs and wonders that could become reality in the time of the Antichrist, which has GOT to be very very close. Including supposed "extra-terrestrials" that are really demons or fallen angels, some of which look alien and some more or less human, or the descent of Ascended Masters who are also able to appear human, who come as "friends" and "saviors" of our benighted race, or some variation on these scenarios. If any of these things should happen, sadly huge numbers of people will believe them, and Christians who have scoffed at such ideas could even lose their faith, certainly at least be rendered incapable of answering them or protecting anyone from them.

The likelihood of a human conspiracy being as successful as is claimed for some of them is just not that great. They attribute far too much perfection to mere human beings. Human beings always blow it at some point, either by conflict with the clan or a foolish nature or whatnot. One of them becomes conscience-stricken perhaps and gets the story out. SOMETHING like that just about always happens among human beings. So somewhere in the stories of these conspiring clans of the richest people on earth you should find this sort of happening now and then -- or, of course, untimely deaths.

Now, of course, if you want to claim that these aren't really human beings but some sort of human-demon hybrid, all bets are off. But I'm not going there. Satan can influence people without their knowing the influence comes from him. There can be various levels of indulgence in witchcraft too, in the form of alternative religions, not even recognizable as witchcraft. A family that trusts in astrology or has members who get psychic readings or any of that is already in Satan's thrall. This is commonplace stuff these days. We don't need to postulate a single-mind type conspiracy (although I'm not going to say they don't exist) in order to recognize that there are human beings in this world who oppose God and in effect align with Satan whether consciously or not. I think that's probably as far as I'm going to go on this Illuminati thing.

There's plenty to think about concerning the illusional effects of Satan without getting into all that, or for that matter Satan's ability to deceive us on many planes without the special effects. If human beings are involved in any of it, that's just sad, they are of the race made in the image of God who are the subject of God's plan of salvation -- the angels and demons and spiritual creatures of every kind cannot be saved -- and we should pray for them.

There is one possible illusion I've been hearing about recently (put Grenada or just gren into the search box on Scott Johnson's site and listen to that whole series -- I think this comes up in part 2), which is the possibility of a fake rapture staged by one of the "Ascended Masters" which claims to be Jesus Christ by some other name, Sananda something. Some Christians believe this is a real possibility, that the disappearance of lots of New Age and witchcraft practitioners will be staged in imitation of the popular idea of the pre-tribulation Rapture of the church so many believe in these days. The idea would be that it would discourage Christians who believe in the Rapture and destroy their faith.

That makes a certain amount of sense, but another way of looking at it also occurred to me. In fact this idea of a fake rapture is the only thing I've ever heard that makes the Rapture idea seem more definitely possible to me, because Satan doesn't bother to imitate false ideas but true ones (unless maybe for the abovementioned effect -- but in that case if tribulation comes and there has been no Rapture that's already going to challenge Christians who believe too strongly in it.) Also, I can't think Satan would want to remove too many of his human followers from the scene that early on.

All this made me consider that they may be advertising this supposed rapture as something to be pulled off by their fake Jesus so that when the TRUE Rapture occurs they can just toss off this explanation -- oh our own servant Jesus Sananda or whatever did it --and nobody will worry that the true Christ has come and gone without them although that would in fact be the truth.

I don't know. Either scenario is a possibility. But as I said it got me giving more credence to the possibility of the pre-trib Rapture than before.

And I gotta tell you I'm torn. The part of me that is horrified about what's happening on this earth and what is probably coming, along with the part of me that is tired and in pain from arthritis and various other infirmities would just love to be given that rest from it all; but on the other hand what an exciting time to be called to the service of Christ. There are wonderful promises throughout scripture that I would love to have the faith to receive, and this one applies to my sense of physical weakness:
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

"Star of David" occultic symbol -- also American dollar bill occultic?

I REALLY REALLY REALLY didn't want to get as deep into certain facets of end times possible scenarios as I've been doing lately, but perhaps I should. Perhaps more of it is necessary information in these last days than I've supposed. I continue to listen to Scott Johnson these days, mostly older talks I hadn't heard before, and I continue to be persuaded by him. I was very put out at him over the Bohemian Grove and similar topics, and still am -- the evidence for claims about particular US leaders in those contexts is just not there. If he'd seen through Alex Jones and Cathy O'Brien I'd have taken him more seriously, but apparently he uncritically accepted what both of them say.  {Feb 6, 2013 update:  Since I wrote this I've heard others on the Bohemian Grove who are more convincing, such as Chris Pinto and Charlotte Iserbyt, and have to take back what I said here.  Apparently the Bohemian Grove IS connected with the One World Order people, and so is Skull and Bones.  At times Scott Johnson has a way of emotionally asserting things without supplying convincing enough evidence for me.}

Yet there does seem to be some pretty good evidence for some kind of conspiracy of wealthy leaders, and I have to decide if I should get into all that or not. I really really don't WANT to, I hate the idea, but if it's about what I SHOULD do, well, that's going to need some thinking. I've found some books on aspects of this question to consider buying, to keep on reserve while I think about it. I would hope to find the very best documented source. One reviewer claims that it's possible for the people to defeat such plots if we know about them. It's hard to turn your back on a claim like that.

My usual feeling is defeatist, which is the main reason I don't want to get into the subject. I can pray against such things but practical resistance against them doesn't seem feasible. They've got all the money and if they also have a malevolent will, if they want to bring down governments and set up a One World Socialist Government and Pagan Religion and have the financial clout to manipulate things in that direction, all I can think is that it will be very interesting to see what the LORD says to them on Judgment Day, but between now and then they rule. It might not have to be so, if we Christians were living in the power we surely have been given, but generally speaking we aren't.

A bit of a cockeyed preamble there, I suppose, to a completely different topic, the Six-Pointed "Star of David." I listened to Johnson's two talks on that subject and I'm convinced, it's an ancient pagan symbol associated with occultic powers and ought to be avoided like the plague. It certainly never had anything to do with King David; it MIGHT have been used by Solomon in his apostasy due to his many pagan wives; but it was never associated with Judaism until the late Middle Ages, through a teacher of the occultic Kabbalah.

There is, however, a history to it that the Bible touches on, as it is what is indicated by the "star of Remphan" that is mentioned in the Book of Acts, reported by Stephen in recounting the wilderness wanderings of the Israelites, when they went astray into idolatry.
Acts 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
The Jews adopted it as their national symbol in all innocence but they need to wake up. The menorah should be on their flag, not this star of witchcraft that goes back to the worship of pagan gods like Moloch and is used in Kabbalistic and modern witchcraft as well. On the other hand, perhaps it is the most appropriate symbol for their current apostate situation whether they are aware of its connotations or not.

[August 17, 2012: Whole different explanation of the Star of David has come out as reported by Chris Pinto on his radio show today, which I posted on as well.]
I haven't yet convinced myself about the question of whether there is such a thing as "cursed objects" of which a Christian should be aware. It's easy to get a sort of superstitious feeling about this but I really would like to know if it's something to be concerned about. I don't even want a copy of The Watchtower in my place, which one of my neighbors goes around handing out. If there is such a thing as a cursed object that's certain to be, but my feeling is mostly superstitiousness, not a sense of certainty about it. There are, however, some hair-raising online stories about cursed objects. It's definitely something to think about.

But it may be another question whether a symbol like this star is in the same category, anyway. Does it exert any power over those who wear it or revere it? As I wrote in an earlier post I've had some definitely strange reactions to a couple of occultic symbols so I believe there's more to them than lines on paper, but I'm not sure exactly what. I've never had that reaction to the six-pointed star, however, although I can't say I LIKE it either.

=============================================

Here's an example of its use in occult practices. This represents the two sides of the Talisman of Saturn.

=============================================

P.S. Drat. He goes on from a pretty good study of the hexagram, with good evidence, into the familiar highly questionable analysis of the dollar bill as festooned with Masonic occultic symbology. I'm not going to say it's all wrong, I don't know (I mean I don't know how intentional all the aspects of it are -- it's possible for images to have unintended meanings), and it can certainly be shown that there was a lot of Masonic influence in the founding of the nation, but the usual explanations for the dollar bill in this case are just as compelling: The nation was founded when there were thirteen colonies, which became the first thirteen states of the union. That explains quite well enough why that number appears in the Great Seal in so many forms. The original flag had thirteen stars and thirteen stripes as well for the same reason. The thirteen stripes are still there to commemorate the founding states.

Also, the New World Order reference, Novus Ordo Seclorum, or however that goes, DOES refer to the founding of this unique nation among nations, an intentional nation not based on dynasties and kings. It's a fair rendering of its meaning. And I'd add, does the US look like it's clamoring to be part of a One World Order? Seems to me most of us fight that idea more strenuously than any people anywhere else. We have some misguided leaders who don't mind the idea, traitors that they are, but not the people.

One very far-fetched claim, it seems to me, is that you can draw a hexagram over the pyramid and get letters that refer to things Masonic. It's a pretty bad hexagram, though, very unsymmetrical. You'd think if that was intentional they'd have designed it better.

So does this imagery represent the wickedest of the wicked as he claims, or perhaps just a bunch of symbology that mostly refers to the founding of the USA but also happens to have some Masonic influence in it?

I do have to add that I really don't like that pyramid and that eye and would rather they'd left that off. That part is most certainly Masonic in conception, no matter how they try to rationalize it away.

But if we were a Christian nation wouldn't the imagery have incorporated SOMETHING even just a little bit Christian instead of all this other stuff? I guess a cross is the only truly Christian symbol, though I wish I could think of another. An open Bible would have been nice on there, perhaps praying hands, or a picture of the Pilgrims with the Indians at the first Thanksgiving? How about Soli Deo Gloria for the motto? Solus Christus would make the cross unnecessary. THEN "In God we trust" would have some real meaning. But of course we couldn't put holy things on money, it would profane them. But the Seal should have something like that, shouldn't it? OK, how about a picture of the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria on one side (oy, already I see problems with this one) and the Mayflower on the other along with the Thanksgiving feast and praying hands -- that's not too holy.

[November edit: Hey, of course! Put one of the paintings of the Constitutional Convention or a picture of the Constitution itself, or the Declaration of Independence, on the bill! Of course!]

Oh well, maybe the nation really is occultically Masonically compromised.

I guess that shouldn't be too surprising after all, though it is disappointing. The whole world is occultically saturated. The planets are all named after demon gods, as are the days of the week, while the months are named after various Caesars and other evil men. We name our space probes after such things too.

Maranatha, Lord Jesus.

As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I've been listening quite a bit lately to Scott Johnson's* talks at Sermon Audio, going back into his older talks mostly.

He is the one who introduced me to the implications of Genesis 6 in the last days, and I'm very grateful because I'd often wondered about that passage.

Genesis 6:1-7 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
The unfortunately popular idea that it was the men of the holy line of Seth that took wives of the unholy line of Cain just never made sense, starting with the fact that it would no longer have BEEN a holy lineage after that. For another thing, why would such a union produce giants? And for yet another thing, it says it was the "sons of God" who took wives of the "daughters of men," which certainly implies the "sons of God" are NOT men, and that obvious fact's having been ignored by so many great exegetes of the scriptures such as Matthew Henry is a sad testimony to the power of human prejudice to trump what God's word actually says. There are only five places in the Old Testament the phrase "sons of God" is used and it is clear in context that it refers to angels:
Ge 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Ge 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy
The idea that angelic beings or "watchers" actually procreated with human women offends us, and from many points of view too (can angels actually DO that for starters), but the testimony of scripture nevertheless appears to be that it did in fact happen and we are to submit to scripture no matter what.

The reason for exploring this passage is that Jesus said the very last days would "be like the days of Noah." I think it's worth quoting the entire passage:

Matthew 24:32-51 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Of course it's not clear just HOW similar to the days of Noah we can expect the last days to be, but it may be that we could expect a similar encounter between the Watchers and humanity, even possibly the birth of Nephilim or giants. That's a pretty far-out idea I grant you, but Johnson has shown how there are many signs all around us that some such scenario is actually being promoted, in TV shows and movies, most of which I'd never heard of, also in UFO appearances and reports, and genetic experiments that would bring about hybrids of the same sort as occurred in the days before Noah. Such experiments are going on these days as we know, even disgusting efforts to combine human and animal DNA. I just listened to this oldie of his which covers an amazing breadth of information about such possibilities.

In this talk he also suggests the meaning of the ten toes of the statue of Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2:33, 41-43, in terms of such genetic hybrids, which is another passage I've always found hard to understand:
Daniel 2:38-45 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

"They" shall "mingle themselves with the seed of men." This must refer to beings which are NOT "men" who shall "mingle themselves with" not merely "men" as mingling in a crowd or as members of a group, but "with the SEED of men," obviously referring to a genetic combination. Again, most exegetes just sort of slur over this passage, don't they? They deny its obvious import. Well, it IS hard to digest, but again, scripture is a REVELATION of things outside our own experience, things we wouldn't normally think of ourselves, and our job is to SUBMIT to it no matter how it contradicts our expectations.

Along with this strange theme, the growth of popular exposure to the occult is a related theme in Johnson's teachings, something I've been quite aware of myself, and he documents that too, as a lead-up to what will most likely be the world religion of the Antichrist, a dazzling display of the powers of witchcraft.

I say all of the above only to lead up to this:

This morning as I logged on to my home page, I was hit with this ad for "Avatar", a movie to come out in December, and it sounds like it fits in beautifully with all the end times stuff I've been getting from Scott Johnson, so I went and looked at the trailer. Sure enough, it's right down the end times alley, a large step closer to the scenarios Johnson has been spelling out about strange hybrid creatures that may show up in the nearish future. Gigantic humanoid creatures with tails and faintly striped blue skin. A VERY creepy movie, even the first frame of it.

How close are we? How long would it take for something like this to be in place? I know a great deal of it IS already in place, but all this genetic stuff? Have such things been going on behind the scenes to the point that they are ready to be exposed to the world?

Don't tell me you won't be shocked if even half the stuff I'm talking about here becomes actuality in the near future. We need to know this stuff or we won't know how to respond to it. Much of it is so ugly and depressing I don't want to be around for any of it for that reason. Fear doesn't even enter into it.

What horrors may soon be coming on this earth!

Maranatha, Lord, come quickly.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

A Candidate for Last Pope called Peter the Roman?

(Also moved from Faith's Corner). I found out recently that some believe there is a candidate for next Pope to fulfill the prophecy of Malachy I've mentioned before. Since the next and last Pope according to that prophecy is to be known as Peter the Roman, there is speculation that this candidate would assume the leadership without actually becoming Pope because he would retain his own name instead of taking a new name as Popes do. Here's the Wikipedia story on Pietro Parolin:
Msgr. Parolin achieved notoriety in 2006 via the internet as a possible future Pope. A note about the papal prophecies of the medieval Abbot Malachy speculated that Parolin might be "Petrus Romanus" ("Peter the Roman") whom Abbot Malachy predicts will be the last Pontiff before the end of the world; some have referred to this apocalyptic figure as Pope Peter II. The Wikipedia entry reads: "Because no number is assigned to Petrus Romanus (Malachy's 112th "Pope"), it is possible that (Peter the Roman) may take on the role of the Pope without putting on the robe of the Pope. Under this possible scenario, a catastrophe at the Vatican could wipe out the top leadership of the Church during either a consistory or a conclave of the College of Cardinals. As a result, with no viable College surviving to elect a new pontiff, this particular scenario would have a surviving official of the Roman Curia succeeding to the top leadership of the Church but not as Pope. As he would not rise to the papacy itself but instead would become, in effect, the top caretaker of the Church, he would not need to assume a new papal name such as Peter; thus he would keep the name he has had since his birth in Italy, and that name already would be Peter (or, in Italian, Pietro). Currently (that is, as of March 2006) there is only one such candidate for Petrus Romanus within the Roman Curia. His name is Pietro Parolin..."
We can't take such a prophecy as infallible of course but it's interestingly suggestive for anyone who believes as I do that we're right at the door of the revelation of the Antichrist:
2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The prophecy has a "Peter the Roman" as the last Pope, to come in difficult times. Antichrist himself? False Prophet? Time will tell.

I thought for some time the last Pope would have to be Jewish. There have been some Jewish Popes in history. But the last candidate I was aware of died two years ago.

Scott Johnson on Raelian Revelations of Human Origins for the End Game

This is another post I moved from Faith's Corner because it fits here better.

If I'm going to be criticizing Scott Johnson so much (which I've been doing at Faith's Corner in connection with his talks on the Bohemian Grove), I do feel I ought to try to be more specific about what is good about his teachings. I already mentioned the recent teachings on Maitreya and the Hebrew Roots movement, and the older one on the tribe of Dan, and I just listened to an old one of his that is also very good, his discussion of the "ancient astronaut" teaching by the Raelian cult. It's a classic and definitely something we should know about as we get deeper into the end times.

This Raelian teaching is pretty far-out, based on an encounter between a Frenchman and a supposed extra-terrestrial who arrived on a typical UFO type space ship and gave him a series of teachings that are a particularly condensed version of the many Doctrines of Devils that are corrupting people's minds in these last days:
1Ti 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
We've seen many quasi religious systems and doctrines come to us by similar means in fairly recent times, some sort of entity that either appears to a person or possesses the person and dictates teachings that always inevitably deny that Jesus Christ is God Himself come in human flesh to save us from sin, the central message of Biblical Christianity, usually claiming to have the TRUE understanding of what the Bible teaches, which is certainly not the gospel of Christ, and so on. "A Course in Miracles" that is so favored by Oprah Winfrey was transmitted to a woman by an entity possessing her and dictating to her for instance. Of course something similar is how Mormonism was transmitted to Joseph Smith -- the appearance of an "angel" that guided him -- so this isn't new, but there seem to be more of them occurring as we get closer to the very end. The appearances of "the virgin Mary" are another version of the same thing, as "she" appears to various people and gives messages of one sort or another to the Catholic faithful who cling to them as if they were messages from God Himself. Which of course is the whole point. People prefer these doctrines to God's own word and this is the foundation of the Strong Delusion that is coming on the earth to ensnare those who will worship the Antichrist:
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
This Raelian doctrine is about the origins of humanity (these aliens say they created us in a laboratory - who'd a thunk?) and their supposed benevolence in wanting to help us improve our situation since we've messed things up. This is exactly the sort of thing that many people would dismiss as just another crazy religion UNTIL they encounter some of the phenomena, the "signs and wonders" that will seem to make it all make sense in the very last days as a one-world religion is formed, space ships "arrive" that suggest a highly advanced "scientific" technology although it will all be spiritistic illusions, a "star" appears to hover in the sky, "fire from heaven" comes down and the like. Along with this will come a world leader and probably many other powerful personalities as well, to "save" us all from whatever disasters we'll be facing at the time, world-wide economic collapse perhaps, world war perhaps, world-wide killer disease epidemics or all of the above.

It's all ultimately in God's hands, but the more people reject the true God and seek other kinds of solutions the more the human race is going to be receptive to the demon-inspired delusions that suit their prejudices. Scott Johnson is very good at spelling out such scenarios, and this one is particularly good because it's so condensed, as he also points out -- it seems to wrap up all the coming delusions into one neat little package. It has everything, including a plausible-sounding reinterpretation of many Bible passages calculated to deceive those who have rejected God's truth.

It's all a play on the idea of "Intelligent Design" -- in this case the idea that the human race was created by this other alien race. I think Dr. Johnson goes a little off in saying that this is the TRUE foundation of the very idea of Intelligent Design, however. It seems more likely it's the other way around -- ID was concocted by Christians who couldn't go with the radical Creationist view of a literal six-day Creation and a very young earth calculated from the ages of the patriarchs in Genesis 5, and answered the claims of Evolution by pointing to the evidence of intelligence in the design of living things -- and the aliens who claim to have created humanity took the term to themselves for their own purposes. Since ID is based on a rejection of what the Bible teaches to begin with, however, perhaps they have the better claim to it anyway.

Power in Occult Symbols

I commented in a recent post at Faith's Corner that I have a sensitivity to some symbols, that I experience as abrasive and repellent. It's the sort of information that belongs here better.

Actually, it's two symbols that have definitely affected me this way, the Triquetra:

and the symbol of the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, which looks like this:

The Triquetra is called a Christian symbol and I first encountered it on the cover and front page of my New King James Bible. It always gave me a strange unpleasant sensation whenever I looked at it. Eventually I found out that it has occultic associations, which explained its effect on me, but because it's accepted as a Christian symbol, a representation of the Trinity, I tried to ignore its effect. We aren't to take our feelings as any kind of standard for truth, of course, so I criticized the feeling instead of the symbol. It was only in the last couple years when I came to recognize the falseness of all the Bibles that have come down from the Westcott and Hort revision of 1881 that I started to think this was about the Bible itself. Although the New King James Bible is based on the Greek Textus Receptus rather than the Westcott and Hort Greek text, it has thousands of translational changes in the English that do ultimately derive from W&H. Now I recognize that the sensation is actually a judgment of the Bible itself, probably an expression of the spiritual gift of discerning of spirits.

The other symbol, from the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, I first encountered while watching those games on TV that year. I hadn't been a Christian very long at that time, hadn't even been to a church as I had come to believe in Christ by reading books and was still reading even at that time. It was another year before I ventured to visit a church. I had a fairly good understanding of basic Christian theology because I'd done a LOT of reading, but I didn't have any notion about spiritual gifts at that point.

There are only a few events of the Olympics I enjoy watching but for some reason I had a boxing match on the screen some of the time, perhaps occasionally while flipping channels or waiting for some other event to come on. I don't remember, but the point is I wouldn't have been actually watching a boxing match, it had to be something that came up on the way to something else. Anyway, while the boxing event was going on and my eye was on the screen I would occasionally have the strangest sensation hit me. The words that occur to describe it are abrasive, ugly, loud, strutting or egomaniacal, angry, evil. It would come and go but I only experienced it with the boxing match. I started looking more intently at the screen to see what was causing it. The viewpoint moved around a lot, from one boxer to the other, from close shots to more distant shots, etc., and I soon recognized that I had that sensation only when the floor of the boxing ring was visible, and eventually I made out the image. I couldn't get a clear idea of it from the floor of the boxing ring so I looked for it on other events but oddly enough it wasn't easy to find, although it was the logo for the entire Olympics. Eventually I did get to see it fully. Whenever I saw it anywhere I got the same sensation from it.

What is this all about? I remember telling someone about it who simply flatly said symbols don't do that, but that it might be Satan playing with my mind. It was said in relation to the triquetra on the NKJV and the man was partial to the NKJV. I never got around to telling him about the Seoul symbol where his explanation makes no sense at all. The sensation was ONLY associated with the symbol when it was visible, and always then, however fleeting the image as the camera shots skipped around -- how would Satan pull that off? And what would be Satan's motive anyway to cause me to experience something like that toward what is probably a symbol from a demonic Korean religion? I now believe this sensation I get is because of the Holy Spirit in me.

It's interesting of course to think about the symbol in itself. It's like three sixes lying on their backs. It IS loud and sort of presumptuous in its design in a way too. There's something about the way the tails are drawn as if to trail off that's particularly unpleasant too -- not sure how to interpret that. Oh, maybe to give the impression of movement into the curled-up position?

The triquetra is also made up of three sixes.

I'm impressed with the ability of a mere symbol to radiate some kind of occultic power, and I have no doubt that's what this is. Whether the symbol itself has any power to INFLUENCE someone is another question. These don't influence me except to repel me.

But that's all I wanted to do with this post. Make of it what you will.

The Book of Enoch, a discussion of its validity and the book itself online

Here's a really good discussion of the validity of the Biblical Apocryphal Book of Enoch which describes events that occurred before Noah, that also have implications for the very last days of earth before the Lord Jesus Christ returns.

Here's a link to the first fifteen chapters of the Book of Enoch itself

Antichrist Candidate Maitreya Gearing Up for Appearance

Here's a talk by Scott Johnson at Sermon Audio, actually a series of three, he just did yesterday August 2, about a recent announcement from Benjamin Creme (pronounced Krem) about Maitreya's next move. Creme is the False Prophet for this Antichrist candidate. Maitreya's next move has been announced periodically since 1982 so one can't be sure exactly when any of it is going to happen, but surely it is very close, this talk is worth listening to if you have any interest in likely scenarios for the Grand Finale prophesied in the Bible.

LATER: THIS SERIES IS ONE OF JOHNSON'S BEST. I'VE BEEN LISTENING AND WANT TO GIVE IT ANOTHER PLUG. ONE THING OF INTEREST IS THAT CREME/MAITREYA HATES THE U.S. (hmmm, we're still a threat to the devil? That's good news.) AND HATES ISRAEL, AND ACTUALLY SPEAKS OF THAT MERCIFULLY DECEASED DEMON-DRIVEN THUG ARAFAT AS A GREAT MAN. This comes at the end of the second of Johnson's talks. I haven't yet heard the third but he says he's going to elaborate on this there.

Surely anyone of any spiritual sensitivity already knows that Israel is being specifically targeted by the evil forces of this world, which ought to suggest that if the devil still hates her, God must still have plans for her. Somehow the alignment of this hatred with a claimant to be the universal messiah for all the religions of the world makes this even more real to me. Isn't it time that those who think God has completely abandoned Israel recognize that Israel, earthly Israel, the real living Jews, in all their current apostasy and sin, are still on God's agenda? Shouldn't you rethink those passages in scripture about God's plans for Israel in the last days you've spiritualized away?

Here's Creme's website itself, Share International.

Here's Part One of the interview of Creme by George Noory of the program Coast to Coast.

His rationalization of why Maitreya isn't the Antichrist is interesting. Typical Satanic smooth-talking denial of the Truth, the one and only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You BET we're looking for Jesus Christ, and not "Maitreya." I wonder how many "Christians" are going to be deceived by this kind of nonsense. Unfortunately there are many who don't know the Word of God. Scripture tells us Even the true believers may be deceived -- at least for a time.

Here's Part Two of Noory's interview of Creme.

There are two more parts you can find at You Tube. Also many other talks by Creme.
