The likelihood of a human conspiracy being as successful as is claimed for some of them is just not that great. They attribute far too much perfection to mere human beings. Human beings always blow it at some point, either by conflict with the clan or a foolish nature or whatnot. One of them becomes conscience-stricken perhaps and gets the story out. SOMETHING like that just about always happens among human beings. So somewhere in the stories of these conspiring clans of the richest people on earth you should find this sort of happening now and then -- or, of course, untimely deaths.
Now, of course, if you want to claim that these aren't really human beings but some sort of human-demon hybrid, all bets are off. But I'm not going there. Satan can influence people without their knowing the influence comes from him. There can be various levels of indulgence in witchcraft too, in the form of alternative religions, not even recognizable as witchcraft. A family that trusts in astrology or has members who get psychic readings or any of that is already in Satan's thrall. This is commonplace stuff these days. We don't need to postulate a single-mind type conspiracy (although I'm not going to say they don't exist) in order to recognize that there are human beings in this world who oppose God and in effect align with Satan whether consciously or not. I think that's probably as far as I'm going to go on this Illuminati thing.
There's plenty to think about concerning the illusional effects of Satan without getting into all that, or for that matter Satan's ability to deceive us on many planes without the special effects. If human beings are involved in any of it, that's just sad, they are of the race made in the image of God who are the subject of God's plan of salvation -- the angels and demons and spiritual creatures of every kind cannot be saved -- and we should pray for them.
There is one possible illusion I've been hearing about recently (put Grenada or just gren into the search box on Scott Johnson's site and listen to that whole series -- I think this comes up in part 2), which is the possibility of a fake rapture staged by one of the "Ascended Masters" which claims to be Jesus Christ by some other name, Sananda something. Some Christians believe this is a real possibility, that the disappearance of lots of New Age and witchcraft practitioners will be staged in imitation of the popular idea of the pre-tribulation Rapture of the church so many believe in these days. The idea would be that it would discourage Christians who believe in the Rapture and destroy their faith.
That makes a certain amount of sense, but another way of looking at it also occurred to me. In fact this idea of a fake rapture is the only thing I've ever heard that makes the Rapture idea seem more definitely possible to me, because Satan doesn't bother to imitate false ideas but true ones (unless maybe for the abovementioned effect -- but in that case if tribulation comes and there has been no Rapture that's already going to challenge Christians who believe too strongly in it.) Also, I can't think Satan would want to remove too many of his human followers from the scene that early on.
All this made me consider that they may be advertising this supposed rapture as something to be pulled off by their fake Jesus so that when the TRUE Rapture occurs they can just toss off this explanation -- oh our own servant Jesus Sananda or whatever did it --and nobody will worry that the true Christ has come and gone without them although that would in fact be the truth.
I don't know. Either scenario is a possibility. But as I said it got me giving more credence to the possibility of the pre-trib Rapture than before.
And I gotta tell you I'm torn. The part of me that is horrified about what's happening on this earth and what is probably coming, along with the part of me that is tired and in pain from arthritis and various other infirmities would just love to be given that rest from it all; but on the other hand what an exciting time to be called to the service of Christ. There are wonderful promises throughout scripture that I would love to have the faith to receive, and this one applies to my sense of physical weakness:
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
